Why moving closer to green space is a win for the whole family

As any of you who already live in the beautiful areas of Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch or other parts of Dorset and Hampshire will already know, we are blessed with a great deal of stunning outdoor spaces.

In addition to the golden sandy beaches of Bournemouth and Poole, we also have the stunning New Forest National Park and the Purbecks, not to mention many wonderful parks and green spaces on our doorsteps. Here at Removals Unlimited, we know that we’re very lucky to be located in such a stunning part of the country, and we love it when new people come and join us!

If you’re considering relocating to the South West, there’s now another reason to add to your list: living close to green space is good for your children’s health.

As Sky News recently reported, research has discovered that children who live near green space in the first ten years of their lives have improved lung function compared to those who live further away from pockets of natural space.

Whether you already have children or are considering starting a family, this could be a further nudge to explore your options for relocating to somewhere like Bournemouth or Poole, if you don’t already live here.

Even though we are based in the South West, we are a nationwide removals company and are more than happy to help you get settled into your new abode, no matter where in the UK you currently live or where you’re moving to!

Of course, our local knowledge of the South West comes in particularly handy for anyone who is moving from another part of the UK to this beautiful area. Our trained professional movers are always more than happy to share their knowledge of the local area, as well as their knowledge of packing and moving.

Aside from the obvious places to check out when you first move to Westbourne, Southbourne, Winton or anywhere else in the Bournemouth area, we’d recommend exploring the likes of Kings Park, Queens Park, Winton Recreation Ground and Boscombe Cliff Gardens, all of which are great for an afternoon stroll or even a jog if you’re that way inclined.

Naturally, you also have the seven miles of golden sandy beaches within easy reach, which is definitely an appealing prospect. What’s more, Bournemouth beach was named the most accessible coastal stretch in the UK earlier in July (as the Bournemouth Echo reported), with Sandbanks beach in Poole coming in second on the list.

Weymouth and Studland beaches also made it into the top ten, which means that the whole of the Dorset coastline is great for everyone!

Wherever you’re moving from and whichever part of Bournemouth, Poole or Christchurch you’re moving to, we are ready to help.
