Whatever move you’re making, we’re here to support you
In 2019, first-time buyers were the driving force in the property market. That’s according to statistics collated by Really Moving, which noted that this group of people accounted for 55.7% of all home purchases in 2019.
The moving comparison site also revealed that the average distance people moved in 2019 was nine miles, while 40% of people moved to a property within a five-mile radius of their previous home.
With a growing number of people in the private rented sector in the UK, the types of home moves people make are increasingly varied.
In fact, a Knight Frank report suggested that by 2023, 22% of households in the UK will be in the private rented sector. While renting is often thought of as something you do in your younger years, the research also revealed that those aged 35 to 49 make up the largest proportion of those living in rented accommodation.
By the time you’re a little older, you’re more likely to be living in an unfurnished home, where you can introduce personal touches with furniture and your other possessions.
Each of these kinds of moves is different. At Removals Unlimited, we understand how a sale to purchase move is different from a rental to rental move. That’s why we have tailored packages for all kinds of moves.
Our team are perfectionists. They want to make sure that you and your belongings are safely transported from your old property to your new one. They use all of their training and skills in packing to make your move as stress-free as possible.
We take the utmost care when we’re moving furniture in and out of a property. In rental properties in particular we understand that scuffs and damage to walls or floors aren’t acceptable given that you have to claim your deposit back following your move. We always take care to not only keep your furniture in top condition, but the house or flat you’re vacating too (rented or owned!). We have a comprehensive set of professional home-shield kits that will protect your doors, door frames, floors, banisters and more.
In some cases, you might need to use storage during your move. This could be to enable you to renovate the home you’re moving to, or it might be that you aren’t able to move straight from your current home to your new property.
We can help you arrange long or short-term storage depending on what you require. We also know how to manage a move that involves moving some or all of your possessions into storage. We’ll be on hand to move your belongings from storage to your new owned or rental property.
When it comes to moving home, there isn’t much (if anything!) that we don’t have experience with. Whatever type of move you’re preparing for, whether from rental to rental, rental to owned, or sale to purchase, we’ll be there to assist you every step of the way.
