One-third of Brits ‘planning to move in 2023’
There’s no doubt that the last couple of years have been busy in the removals business, and it looks as though 2023 could be busy too. Research by Samsung Electronics UK has found that 34 per cent of Brits are planning to move next year.
It seems that many have already committed too, with 25 per cent of those hoping to find a new home in 2023 having already put their property on the market. Interestingly, the survey also revealed that we’re looking for different things in our homes as we approach 2023 than we have in the past.
Two-thirds of those planning to move are looking for a garden over a parking space, while 49 per cent would prefer a home near a park or green space, compared to 43 per cent who are looking for a home near public transport.
Of course, if you’re moving to Bournemouth, Poole or Christchurch, you have plenty of choices for outdoor space. We not only have our beautiful sandy beach, but also the New Forest National Park and the Purbecks on our doorstep.
In fact, as we revealed earlier this year, the beaches and countryside are among the features people miss the most after they move away from Dorset, perhaps unsurprisingly. These are also excellent reasons to keep your property search in the South West, if you are considering moving this year and already live in the likes of Winton or Westbourne.
Here at Removals Unlimited, we love welcoming people to our corner of the UK, and we provide nationwide removals services so if you’re planning to move to Dorset or elsewhere in the South West, we are more than happy to help.
Our team of professional movers and packers are available to pack all of your belongings safely when you use our full packing service. They will bring all of the packing materials and boxes required so you will have one less thing to organise, and they will ensure that everything is packed securely and then loaded safely into our removals vans for the journey to your new home, whether it’s just a few miles down the road or halfway across the country.
If you are thinking of moving in the coming year, you might want to do so sooner rather than later after Property Reporter shared research that suggests average house prices will continue to rise in the UK, despite the rising cost of living.
According to lettings and estate agent Benham and Reeves, demand for homes is continuing to drive prices up and this trend is not expected to change by the end of 2022, and could well continue into next year.
Whenever you’re planning to make your next move, the friendly team at Removals Unlimited is here to help. We pack, move and store, so we really can help you with every aspect of your move and we do so with a smile.
