If you’ve decided that it’s time for a change of scene and you’re planning to move to the South West of the country (a great choice, by the way), did you know that we are a nationwide removals company?
We might be based in Bournemouth, but we’re more than happy to travel to help you start your new life on the coast. Although figures from Really Moving show that 40% of people moved within five miles of their previous home in 2019, that still leaves more than half who travelled a little further.
The Guardian also recently reported that a growing number of Londoners are abandoning the capital for other parts of the UK. It cited figures from the Office for National Statistics showing that, in 2018, just over 100,000 more people left London than moved to the city from other regions of the country.
If you’re currently living too far away for us to visit your home to provide a free, no obligation quote, don’t worry, because technology has provided us with a solution. We have plenty of experience of providing quotes based on photos and videos of your current home and possessions.
So, if you live elsewhere in the UK but would like us to provide a quote for your move, there are a few things we’ll need to know. The most important are:
● What access to your current home is like
● What possessions you have in your home that will be moving with you
● How many belongings you have that will be moving with you
● Whether you have any specialist items (like pianos or safes) that will need to be moved
● Don’t forget any items in the loft, garage or garden!
The good news is that you don’t have to write an itemised list of all of your belongings. A simple video call with us, via WhatsApp, Skype or most other FaceTime apps, will suffice. We’ll just need you to walk us around your home, showing us every room and all of its contents.
You can ask us any questions you might have about our services and we can ensure we get all the information we need to give you an accurate quote.
Alternatively, you can take photos and videos of your home and send them to us. If you’d prefer to do this, make sure your videos slowly pan around each room so that we can see what furniture and other belongings you have. If there’s anything that won’t be coming with you, simply tell us so that we leave it out of our quote.
Whether you want to take advantage of our full packing service to make your move as stress-free as possible or pack yourselves, we’ll need to see the contents of your cupboards, wardrobes and drawers too so that we can convert a cardboard boxes tally and then dictate the type of vehicle we can use to move you.
