Man and van delivery service at Removals Unlimited in Bournemouth

Another happy customer taking advantage of our fantastic man and van delivery service!

We were delighted to have been commissioned to deliver a large antique circular painting to Cambridge (Worth thousands of pounds!).

It was important to our customer to find the correct outfit for their requirement – in the end it was our sets of in-transit insurance and liability insurance, in between other trade secrets, that set us apart from our competitors.

We were not the cheapest option either!

Removals Unlimited is proud to stand behind its quotation process – we always meet all of our customers face-to-face in order to measure and tailor their need.

In this instance, and after attentively listening to our customer’s in depth brief, we were able to demonstrate how our sturdy yet bouncy crate system would allow our pricy and very large painting to travel safely given its 3+ hours journey.

It was an interesting journey to say the least…after safely delivering our painting and reporting back to our customers with a call and then pictures through email we made our way back down to Bournemouth and experienced first-hand the very snowy weather conditions.

In the end we had to abandon our 3.5 tonne luton van on the side of a hilly road near Romsey – the snow made it impossible to climb any further.

It was great to see how everyone came together to help one another – we participated in getting smaller vehicle up the hill and then made our way to the nearest hotel.

A 4x4 owner kindly dropped us off.

The morning after, at the kindness of yet another 4x4 owner, we were able to retrieve our luton van and made our way down to Bournemouth!

Happy ending for us knowing of all the unfortunate souls that didn’t make it that day. Our thoughts are with their families!
